The ruling reinstates a 2021 requirement that mifepsristone be prescribed and dispensed in person, reversing a Biden administration policy that allowed such access. Democrats argue that this decision disregards decades of clinical evidence and federal oversight. They also warn that it could create new barriers to care in rural areas and states where telehealth has become more common.
