This London cinema is celebrating its 50th this month – and the line-up is all-star

London's Rio Cinema is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a series of special screenings, parties, and an unveiling. The six-month-long season, Rio Forever, will showcase 'bold, eclectic programming', archival gems, and gatherings that bring people together. The event, which includes a party hosted by Jeremy Deller, Sports Banger and Doc’n Roll Films, will begin on April 17 with a celebration of ‘radical creativity, outsider art, music and film’. Films such as Asif Kapadia, Paul Thomas Anderson, Dionne Edwards, and The Wachowskis' neo-noir thriller will also feature.
