SCOTUS Nukes CO Ban On Therapists Helping Gender-Confused Clients

The US Supreme Court has overturned a ban on Colorado from allowing therapists to help gender-confused clients transition from radical "transgender" ideology to help them find their way out of confusion. The court ruled in an 8-1 opinion against the ban, stating that the law regulating speech based on viewpoint infringes on individual individuals' rights and erred by not applying enough rigorous First Amendment scrutiny to the lower courts. Justice Neil Gorsuch, who wrote for the majority, argued that the First Amendment protects the right to speak freely and prevents attempts to enforce orthodoxy in thought or speech in the United States. The Trump administration had asked the court to rule in favor of Kaley Chiles on free speech grounds.
