Critics argue that knowing such information could put young women at risk. Other local journalists also claim they had long had the dirt on Swalw. However, progressive activist Nomiki Konst and progressive activist and commentator Shawn VanDiver were among those claiming to have known years earlier that his behavior was problematic. The New York Attorney's Office is investigating the claims.
