India's quick commerce market is booming, with demand more than doubling for some players. However, competition between Flipkart and Amazon is increasing, leading to increased competition in the industry. The rapid growth in the sector has led to significant overlap among players in major cities and intensified competition. FlipkART, one of India's largest e-commerce players, has crossed over 800 dark stores and plans to double this by the end of 2026. However it remains smaller than market leader Blinkit, which has over 2,200 dark stores. Despite this, Flipkarton is focusing on expanding beyond major cities to drive growth. However some analysts see a longer-term opportunity beyond major city.
