South Florida singer, Felicia Alnor, has been performing since childhood and regularly performs at parties, events, and assisted living facilities. However, she claims that one venue stopped paying her more than a thousand dollars and she hasn't received a check since January. She reached out to the facility several times, but their responses were vague. Felicia's only recourse is to sue in small claims court. Howard Finkelstein suggests that Felicia could contact the county's wage theft division, but since she is an independent contractor, her only recourse should be to sue.
