Rider University senior Eli Griffin passed out twice during a match at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, leading to an injury default. Griffin, who was leading Iowa State's fourth-seeded Anthony Echemendia when he went down after a takedown, returned to the match after clearing concussion protocol but passed out again.
