Jaguar Makes Major Marketing Pivot After Woke Ad Disaster

British car manufacturer, Jaguar, has made a significant turnaround in its marketing strategy following a controversial new marketing campaign in which it featured unsettling, gender-ambiguous models and exactly zero cars. A new series of commercials released on March 16 recalls classic models and points out the future of Jaguar's luxury vehicles. The campaign, which included no cars and a modernized logo, also included references to the XKSS and KJS, as well as a reference to the upcoming concept car, the Type 00. This shift from the previous campaign which included a lacklustlustre ad that copied every other woke advertisement of the era, with rejection of the gender binary and gratuitous racial diversity. However, there are some similarities between the old and new campaigns.
