Bitcoin, USDT ‘safe passage’ scam hits Hormuz as one ship reportedly duped and fired upon

Greek maritime risk services company, Marisks, has issued a warning that several shipping companies have received fraudulent messages from scammers posing as Iranian authorities asking for safe passage across the Strait of Hormuz. The company believes at least one ship was fired upon while trying to pass through the strait. This comes as shipping traffic has been largely restricted by Iran since the start of a war between the U.S. and Israel.
