Sony has defeated a lawsuit by the UK High Court over performers' rights to The Jimi Hendrix Experience's three studio albums, "Are You Experienced", "Axis: Bold As Love", and "Electric Ladyland". The High Court ruled that Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell effectively signed over their rights to the albums and rejected claims that streaming was not covered by a 1966 deal. The lawsuit was dismissed by Judge Edwin Johnson, stating that the deal Redding signed was not limited to specific methods for the delivery of music.
