A SkyWest Airlines flight attendant, Anna Hemstalk, is suing her former employer for retaliating against her for reporting a "visibly intoxicated" coworker. She alleges that she was placed on unpaid leave, stripped of health benefits, denied medical treatment, and threatened with losing her job. The lawsuit alleges that the incident occurred on a flight from San Francisco to Sacramento International Airport on Nov. 18, 2024. Despite her concerns, the flight attendant was allowed to continue working on the flight. Following the reported incident, Hemstalks claims to have experienced acute stress, anxiety, and related medical conditions. She is demanding a jury verdict and damages in an undisclosed court.
