Spain's AF Films has acquired Spanish remake rights to "Buen Camino," the Italian comedy that recently became the country's highest-grossing film by over $82 million. The agreement was made between AF Films and Italian sales company Piperplay, marking the first remake deal announced since the film became an Italian hit. The film, which stars Checco Zalone as a wealthy father searching for his runaway daughter, is about to find his daughter, Cristal, on Spain's famous Camino de Santiago. Piperplay is also in talks to sell the remake's rights to France and Germany. Despite the film's box office success, director Gennaro Nunziante believes it has more international appeal than any other film.
