RVing offers unique experiences unlike other types of travel, with a unique sense of community and flexibility compared to traditional travel. The open road allows for travelers to explore the country without having to pack and unpack every time they move on. However, owning an RV can be costly and unpredictable, with maintenance costs and park fees estimated at around $3,500 per year. A recent survey found that 1 million Americans are full-time RVers, usually defined as being on the road for eight months or longer, and about 40% of these are 55 or older. The RV owners can also find places to worship and participate in community projects along the way. Despite these challenges, many still enjoy the freedom and flexibility of living in an RV.
