Alan Walden, who managed Otis Redding and Lynyrd Skynyrd, has passed away at the age of 83. Walden also had a hand in launching Redding to superstardom and helping his brother Phil build Capricorn Records. He started arranging performances while still in high school and managed Redding, Redding's rise to fame. He also spotted and managed up-and-coming talent, including Skynryd and the Outlaws, and created his own publishing company, Hustlers Inc.
