Fargo Commissioner Turnberg wants interim police chief to get job permanently

The proposal is on the agenda of the City Commission's next meeting on April 13. Turnberg argues that the police department is in the process of transitioning from a toxic work environment and needs a permanent chief to restore vital relationships within the department and with neighboring jurisdictions. Additionally, Turnberg notes that the proposed timeline for replacing Ziboliski would hinder the interim chief's ability to come up with a budget for the next year and implement changes the department requires.
