Clyly Edwin Hedrick, accused of having ties to the Texas "Killing Fields" murders, has died at a Houston-area hospital. Hedrick was released on parole three years after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter of another woman, Ellen Beason, and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Despite his death, victims' families may still receive some semblance of closure following the death of Hedrick. The investigation continues to determine whether Hedrick can be legally attributed to the murders posthumously, even though he is now deceased.
