Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has stated that veteran defender Danilo is likely to be part of his final 26-man squad for the World Cup in North America. Anceloti stated that his squad is largely settled and that Danilo's character, his personality, and style of play are important to him. The Brazilian team will compete in Group C alongside Morocco, Haiti and Scotland for the June 11-19th tournament.
