The Berkshire softball team defeated Grand Valley 24-1 in a run-rule win over the Mustangs on April 6. The Badgers scored nine runs in the first inning and never looked back, a significant turnaround from their previous 12-2 loss to South. All of the team's bats were scorching hot, with every batter in the Berkshire lineup contributing to at least one hit, one run scored or one RBI. Starting pitcher Moira Wonders was largely successful, with only one run given in four innings. The win was a significant boost for the team, particularly for Coach Joe Medlen who moved Whitney Davis from No. 3 to the leadoff spot to accommodate her performance. The team's early success could help them in tough CVC divisional games.
