The U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled an oral argument on April 29 over the administration's request to end temporary protected status (TPS) for Haitians and Syrians. The designation allows individuals from countries affected by conflict, natural disasters, or other circumstances to remain in the United States. Under President Donald Trump, the Department of Homeland Security has taken steps to end TPS for about a dozen countries.
