Lawsuit alleges police unlawfully tased Pittsburgh man with autism

A new federal lawsuit alleges that Pittsburgh police unlawfully tased a man with autism without just cause. The victim, identified as KEVIN DUNN, claims he was previously arrested in 2024 but never charged with a crime. The lawsuit accuses the city of not having PROPER TRAINING and accuses three officers and a commander of violating the CIVIL RIGHTS of a young man with autistic behavior. The city, the police department, and the police academy are accused of VIOLating the Civil Rights of a man who feels comfortable with police officers. The ACLU is urging for better training and implementation of the law.
