A 32-year-old Durham man, Jordan Tapp, has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and causing a hit-and-run collision in Chico, California, where he allegedly crashed a motorcycle into a parked vehicle and fled the scene before assaulting an officer. Tapp was detained at Taser point without further incident, but was reportedly argumentative and confrontational during his arrest. While being evaluated at a hospital, Tapp allegedly spat bloody saliva at an officer and several medical staff members, leading to additional medical evaluations. He was placed in a full-body restraint system to prevent him from harming himself or others.
