The Houston Astros are set to play against the Los Angeles Angels on Opening Day of 2026. The team is aiming to bounce back after missing the postseason last year for the first time since 2016. However, key players, including Zach Dezenzo and Josh Hader, will start the season on the injured list. The Astros' 40-man roster has been finalized, adding to Christian Roa and veteran catcher Christian Vázquez. General manager Dana Brown and skipper Joe Espada have expressed their desire to retire in 2026 and their contracts will take care of themselves.
