The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has designated 61 counties in Florida as primary natural disaster areas due to a drought. The agency has extended an emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. The loans can be used for various recovery needs such as livestock equipment, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts. The deadline for the application is Dec. 10, 2026.
