The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has reminded eligible Indiana businesses and nonprofit organizations of the August 31 deadline for federal disaster assistance following drought conditions in 2025. The low-interest loans are intended to provide working capital assistance for operational expenses related to the disaster. Approved applicants can receive up to $2 million in loan assistance. Interest rates are as low as 4% for small businesses and 3.625% for private nonprofit organizations. The loan terms may extend up to 30 years depending on applicant's ability to repay. Application can be submitted online through the SBA’s disaster assistance website.
