D.C. pipe bomb suspect emotionless as he faces new terrorism charges

Brian Cole Jr., a D.C. pipe bomb suspect, has been charged with one count of attempt to use weapons of mass destruction and another count of an act of terrorism while armed. The new indictment alleges that Cole was attempting to influence policy and intimidate a significant portion of the civilian population with his plan. Cole was arrested five years after the fact and initially charged with transporting explosives across state lines with intent to kill, injury and cause damage. If convicted on the top charge, Cole faces up to life in prison.
