Jayson Tatum, a Boston Celtics player, has been struggling with a shooting slump, which he has endured throughout his nine-year NBA career. He has been held scoreless through two quarters 13 times, with nine of these occurring in his first two seasons. This was only his second such occurrence since 2021. Tatum's four field goals in the first half were his fewest in a first half in three years. He heated up during a 13-point third quarter and finished with a respectable stat line in Boston's 102-92 loss against the Timberwolves. Despite his slow start, Tatum returned from Achilles surgery on March 6 and is averaging 19.1 points, 8.9 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.9 turnovers per game. His net rating since his return (11.7) ranks second among Celtics regulars behind backup center Luka Garza. Despite these struggles, he remains optimistic about his ability to regain his shot and team performance.
