South Korea is unlikely to suffer major supply disruptions due to a potential force majeure declaration by Qatar on long-term liquefied natural gas exports after Iranian attacks damaged facilities. The country imports 20% of its LNG from the Middle East and is the world's third-largest buyer of LNG. State-owned QatarEnergy will have to declare force majéure on contracts for LNG supplies for up to five years due to the damage caused by the strikes.
