Jail trustee says lawsuit could cost OK County, taxpayers $75 million

A single court case could cost taxpayers $75 million or more as a property tax increase, according to Trustee Rev. William. The estimated deficit of $5 million could lead to half of the county's staff being laid off if not addressed. However, this is only a fraction of what the county could pay in another potential civil rights lawsuit.
