VA rolls out new technology that could dramatically cut wait times for veterans

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has introduced a new system, External Provider Scheduling, that allows staff to schedule health care appointments outside of the VA. The system is now available at all department facilities and allows employees to access scheduling systems used by community health care providers. This change is expected to significantly reduce delays and increase the effectiveness of the system.
