Former West Haven Mayor, Michael O'Brien, has been diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer, epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (Ehem), which has no known cure and is resistant to chemotherapy, but has an 80% to 90% chance of stabilizing. O'Neill, who served two terms as mayor, is participating in a virtual walk to raise awareness and research funding for Ehem. He originally thought he was dealing with a pinched nerve and a scan revealed a small tumor on his left 10th rib.
