A toddler has died after being hit by a taxi in California, according to reports. The San José Police Department confirmed that the accident occurred at around 4:23 p.m. local time on April 21. The driver of the private-owned minivan, who was operating as a taxi, remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The incident reportedly occurred in the parking area of a condo complex. The police stated that alcohol and drugs were not believed to be a factor in the collision.
