Lewis Goodfield, a father of two, was diagnosed with a brain tumor after he went to the hospital for stomach pain in 2025. The diagnosis was a "huge shock" for both him and his family. The next month, Goodfield was told he had a Grade 2 glioma, a more common type of brain tumor that progresses to a higher grade. He underwent brain surgery to remove the mass, which involved removing a section of his skull to access his brain. Since the surgery, he has been unable to drive or work and is still seeking treatment for his stomach issues. Goodfield has raised about $5,000 for The Brain Tumour Charity through the Twilight Walk Own Walk, but has had to postpone the walk portion until he is in good health.
