Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is experiencing one of its busiest travel periods of the year, as South by Southwest continues and thousands of students head out for spring break. Airport officials say 112,154 people were screened by TSA from Friday through Sunday, leading to long lines and some passengers missing flights. While lines were shorter than the morning rush, congestion caused delays at multiple points. Crystal Riggs, who was traveling from Austin to Orlando for work, said she faced repeated disruptions and had five flight cancellations in the past 24 hours. The airport has urged passengers to plan ahead and monitor their airline for updates.
