Avelo Airlines left Bradley Airport in 2025, suspending services there after only a year. The airline received hundreds of thousands of dollars in financial incentives, despite breaking its contract early. The Connecticut Airport Authority, the agency that oversees Bradley, stated in a statement that Avelo was attempting to evade its obligations while taking advantage of incentives. The I-Team found that other airports have had similar experiences. The CAA refused to pay rent for the remainder of its contract, which will cost more than $1.3 million by the end of June 2027.
