Susan Nyamora, a former addict, is leading a unique recovery network, the South Florida Wellness Network, using her personal experience to help others struggling with addiction. The organization offers a peer counselor program where those who have recovered offer support for those still in recovery. The network also hosts events like pickleball tournaments and drum circles, and volunteers distribute narcan and offer help to anyone who needs it. The South Florida wellness network has helped over 1,000 teens and adults on their journey toward recovery.
