UConn head coach Geno Auriemma has issued a second apology for his actions following a confrontation with South Carolina coach Dawn Staley during their women's Final Four game. The confrontation occurred during the post-game handshake and had to be separated. Ariemma stated that he had lost more games in the Final Four than any other coach in history and that Staley "deserved better from me." Staley responded by saying she had great respect for Geno and his impact on women's basketball.
