El Pueblo, a locally grown Mexican restaurant group, is set to open at 564 Pearl St., the site of a former Jack in the Box restaurant. The building has been vacant since The Bishop's School purchased it in 2021 for $5.5 million. The restaurant group plans to offer a "great fast-casual experience," with menu items including fish tacos, Angus beef, and hormone-free chicken prepared using traditional Mexican recipes. No official opening date has been announced.
