Over 1,200 DC Public Schools 6th graders received free Under Armour sneakers from Monumental Sports and Entertainment. The donation was part of Monumental's District of Play campaign, which provides thousands of free sneakers to 6th-grade and high school students across the DC school district system. Despite the overwhelming number of D.C. youth participating in youth sports, statistics show there are still racial and gender gaps among youth across the country. The company plans to provide nearly 6,500 Under Armour shoes to 6,000 student-athletes across 33 DCPS schools in 2026.
