National party looks to Kentucky to register new Democrats and launch campaign playbook

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is launching its first National Voter Registration Week of Action in Kentucky, aiming to register new voters and address voter registration gaps in the state. The DNC has also unveiled its “Organizing and Political Playbook” ahead of the midterm elections. The efforts are part of efforts by DNC Chair Ken Martin to modernize the party's approach to organizing. The events will also include voter registration blitzes at the University of Kentucky and Morehead State University. The new playbook encourages party staffers and organizers to connect on a personal level with their neighbors to bring them into the Democrats' fold.
