Nassau County sheriff’s office mourns loss of K9 Hugo after medical emergency

The Nassau County Sheriff's Office has mourned the loss of K9 Hugo, a German Shepherd named after Napoleon. The dog had been with the agency since September and was in training to work alongside deputies in the community. Despite his short tenure, Sheriff Bill Leeper said he made a lasting impact on his handler and the agency.
