Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, did not provide evidence that any EU officials were involved in the leak. Despite the Ukraine war and efforts by the EU to weaken Russia, Orban has maintained warm ties with Putin and is heavily dependent on Russian oil and gas. The European Commission has stated that elections are the sole choice of voters.
