The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Detroit Red Wings 4-1, marking only their third win since the Winter Olympics break. Gage Goncalves and Jake Guentzel each scored two goals, setting a career high for goals in a season with 10. Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov had two assists and became the 72nd player in NHL history to reach the milestone. The win leaves Tampa Bay with a 3-6-0 record since the Olympics. Detroit's J.T. Compher and John Gibson also scored goals for the Lightning.
