Oklahoma City Thunder player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has broken Wilt Chamberlain's record for the longest 20-point streak in the NBA, breaking his previous record by scoring at least 20 points in 127 consecutive regular-season games. His achievement came in a home game against the Boston Celtics, where he surpassed Chamberlain's previous record with a 20-foot jumper. The reigning MVP of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Gilgeously known as the reigning MVP, had averaged 32.5 points per game during his streak and is on track to become the first player to average at least 30 points pergame in four consecutive seasons since Michael Jordan. Chamberlain still holds records for the most successful streaks of scoring 30 points in 65 games, 40 points, 50 points, and 60 points.
