UCF softball is on the rise at the midpoint of the season, with a 22-5 record and 2-1 Big 12. The Knights recently defeated No. 12 Oklahoma State, moving up to No. 15 in the latest Softball America Top 25 rankings. Despite this, coach Cindy Ball-Malone believes her team has not yet reached its full potential. The team's performance has boosted confidence in its pitching staff, particularly those of Isabella Vega and Kendall Yarnell, who both attribute their success to their hungry, resilient and fighters. The UCF team ranks in the top 30 in batting average, hits (226), runs batted in (174), total runs (191), slugging percentage (.571), on-base percentage (.452) and earned run average (1.94).
