El Paso rock band Sparta has announced the release of their new album, Cut a Silhouette, set to release on May 29. The album was produced, engineered, and recorded at Magpie Cage Recording Studio by J. Robbins. The name was inspired by John Candy, and the band's frontman, Jim Ward, described it as a love record. The first single, “Crater,” was co-written with Frank Iero from My Chemical Romance. The band will perform at the Sol Summit Festival in El Paso on May 3.
