Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect after a pedestrian was killed in Makiki, Hawaii. The incident occurred at about 11:35 p.m. on Kewalo Street near Wilder Avenue, where an unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian who was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk. The driver and the vehicle continued their journey without stopping to assist or provide information. It is unclear if speed, drugs, or alcohol may have contributed to the accident. This is the 13th traffic fatality on Oahu this year compared to the 21 at the same time last year.
