Nurse 'Choke Slammed' Baby In Newtown; Then Another Agency Hired Her: Lawsuit

Nurse Sandra Desser, 57, is facing similar charges in Delaware County after she allegedly "choke slammed" a baby against her crib in Newtown Square. The victim, identified as Z.N., was less than 2 years old and required 24/7 nursing care. Dessher worked for Team Select Home Care, a home health care nursing agency based in Conshohocken. The lawsuit alleges that Z.P. was assigned by Team Select to care for the child five nights a week and his heart and respiratory rates spiked every night Dessener was there. The complaint also alleges that another home health agency hired her while she was out on bail and assigned her to assist in caring for a medically compromised toddler in Bucks County.
