Stephenson King, a 39-year-old man who was killed by a Boston Police officer during an alleged carjacking, his family has stated that he was suffering from mental health issues at the time of his death. The family held a press conference to discuss the circumstances surrounding King's death and to demand the release of body camera footage of the incident. Boston Police Officer Nicholas O'Malley was charged with manslaughter and Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden has stated his office has brought the matter to a grand jury. King Sr. and Ebony King Gibson, King's sister, said they'd both tried to get King help even on the day he was shot. Despite King's mental issues, King remained deeply loved by his family and attended every family function.
