These airlines stand to benefit most after Spirit collapse: Analysis

A YouGov analysis has found that several of America's largest airlines could benefit from Spirit Airlines' demise, with United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines among the top airlines. The analysis also revealed that around 62-64% of potential customers would consider booking flights through Spirit, while 60.9% indicated they would consider flights with Southwest Airlines. Spirit Airlines filed for bankruptcy twice in the past year due to rising jet fuel costs during the U.S. war with Iran. The Association of Value Airlines, representing a group of budget airline companies, is seeking $2.5 billion in federal aid to offset rising fuel costs. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy refuted the idea that rising jet costs led to Spirit's decline, stating that the airline was in "dire straits" before the Iran war began.
