The following awards season ends with a flurry of activity following the Oscars, with the 2026 Oscar nominees returning to work. From franchise installments to rom-coms, Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio del Toro are among the notable actors and actors returning to the work they are doing. Leonardo Di Caprio is currently working on his latest collaboration with Martin Scorsese on the mystery thriller What Happens at Night with Jennifer Lawrence. He is also reteaming with his Tesla director Michael Almereyda for the indie drama Tonight at Noon, and is set to star alongside Cameron Diaz and Ana De Armas in Grant Singer’s original feature Reenactment. Sean Penn is yet to reveal a follow-up project for his first studio film in several years. Other notable projects include Sean Penn's first TV return in the third season of Euphoria and Ridley Scott's post-apocalyptic movie The Dog Stars.
